Who doesn't love the simple Marie biscuit. As a child, Maries were sold at our school cake sales as a butter icing sandwich and we used to see how many we could stack with lashings of butter between each biscuit. Some older folk dunked them in their tea. But, the best use of these biscuits were in bases used for many sweet treats - milt tarts, custard tarts, cheese cakes. The possibilities are endless.
